Amber is a CPR/AED/First aid certified third grade teacher in a public school in Philadelphia, and an assistant coach of the school’s running team. Her passion for kids and sports inspired her to create this camp. Amber was not always the best of the best in the sport, competitions, or on the team. However, what set her apart from other athletes was her work ethic and ability to keep progressing. She continued to progress in each athletic performance which is what earned her an athletic scholarship, not just her caliber of athleticism. Amber’s goal is to introduce today’s generation to a world of basing an athlete’s potential off of how well they can progress.
Amber Jenkins is originally from South Jersey, but relocated to Philadelphia upon graduating from La Salle University. While attending La Salle University Amber was a member of the Division I women’s track and field team. Amber is a three time record holder, earned academic honors, and was a top 3 finisher at Atlantic 10 Conference Championships during her time at La Salle.
In high school Amber earned 4 Varsity Letters for track, 3 for soccer, and 5 MVP awards for both sports. She was a multi- CAL and County champion in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. She was nominated Most Outstanding Athlete in Atlantic County and voted runner up for Athlete of the Year in 2014. Her extensive soccer career landed her All South Jersey honors as a defender and multiple CAL First Team honors.
